Celebrating the Colours of Filipino Culture

The Parade of Filipino Festivals is a flagship cultural showcase of Pistang Pilipino sa Wellington 2026, organised by the Cultural Committee to celebrate and share the richness of Filipino heritage with the wider Wellington community.

This vibrant parade brings together Filipino groups from across New Zealand, each representing a well‑known Philippine festival through costumes, music, dance, and storytelling.

Participation and Competition
Each participating Filipino Federation organisation has been assigned a festival through a formal draw conducted during the Labour Weekend celebrations in Christchurch (2025).
✔️ Groups will compete for Best Performance awards
✔️ Wellington, as the 2026 host, will not compete but will proudly join the parade showcasing the Ati‑Atihan Festival

Parade Programme
The Parade of Filipino Festivals consists of two main parts:
✔️ Morning Parade
Held on Saturday morning from 10:30 AM, featuring street performances by participating groups representing their assigned festivals.
✔️ Festival Night Performance
Parade participants will take the stage to present their full festival performances in front of the community and judges.
