Miss Philippines Guidelines

Guidelines for the Pageant:

ELIGIBILTY Applicants must meet all of the following: 

✔️ Female, aged 16–24 years old (as of pageant day) At least 5 feet (152 cm) tall (barefoot) 

✔️ Single, never married, and with no children Of Filipino descent 

✔️ Permanent resident or citizen of New Zealand Sponsored by a current financial member club/society of FFASCNZI Entry Requirements 

✔️ Completed Entry Form Endorsement Form (from sponsoring club/organisation) Copy of Birth Certificate 

✔️ Proof of NZ residency (passport or citizenship certificate) 

✔️ Recent photo (10 x 15 cm, head and shoulders) 

✔️ Talent Presentation Form Filipiniana 

✔️ Costume Description Form Evening Gown 

✔️ Description Form Entry Fee: $100 NZD (non-refundable) 

**Important Deadlines All requirements must be submitted by end of August 2025. 

PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must prepare: 

✔️ Filipiniana Costume 

✔️ Evening Gown 

✔️ Swimwear (one-piece, provided or bring backup)

COMPETITION STRUCTURE & JUDGING 

✔️ Judging Overview Up to 7 judges appointed. 

✔️ Judges score from 1.0 to 9.9. Top 5 after First Round advance to Semi-Final (scores reset). 

✔️ Top 3 from Semi-Final Q&A proceed to Final Round. 

✔️ Final Round: One common Q&A question (scores reset). 

✔️First Round Criteria (20% each) 

✔️ Talent Presentation (solo, Filipino cultural theme, 3 mins max) 

✔️ National Costume (Baro’t Saya/modern Filipiniana creativity) 

✔️Swimwear (stage presence and poise) 

✔️ Evening Wear (grace, poise, and appropriateness) 

✔️ Personality (assessed during the event) 

MISS PHILIPPINES – NEW ZEALAND MISS PHILIPPINES – NEW ZEALAND QUICK RULES GUIDE:

✔️ Semi-Final Round – Q&A Questions from judges, based on general knowledge, Filipino culture, or candidate fact sheets. 

✔️30 seconds to answer. 

✔️ English only (no interpreters). 

Special Case If only 5 candidates: 

✔️Competition proceeds as normal. 

✔️Combined First and Semi-Final scores determine Top 3. 

SPECIAL AWARDS 

✔️ Non-bearing awards may be given based on First Round performance. 

✔️These do not affect final results. THE CROWN The Miss Philippines–New Zealand official crown remains property of the Federation. 

✔️The winner will be presented with a separate crown to keep.
